the wendys kind i herd might be cooked in cow greese

Answers:
Check their website to be sure.I actually believe it is McDonalds that still uses beef tallow in their fries ( makes them taste good, but is really bad for you). But even McDonalds are going to stop that because people want to eat healthier ( even though fried foods are not are that good for you)..

BTW, I just checked the U.S. sites for both Wendy's and McDonalds. Wendys does not use beef but McDonalds still does in their fries. They both however are still using hydrogenated oils which are super bad for your heart. Also remember that Wendy's uses the same oil to fry chicken ( so a lot of vegetarians may not enjoy that)

Other Answers:
depends on the oil they were cooked in.

yes You should be able to ask what oil they are cooked in... If they were I would have thought the fast food places would advertise that they are veggie friendly...

Some are, some aren't it depends on where they are cooked. You can always ask although in placeslike Wendy's and Mcdonalds I wouldn't trust their answers. Try buying oven fries from organic grocery store.

You should eat very little fr. fries. Just limit your self. I stay away from potatoes . They are very good , but very fattening. All fr . fries are cooked in oil. They use different kings.at different places. Just ask where you are eating . Pem I know that Burger King used to use gelatin in their onion rings, and those are fried in the same oil as the french fries. Therefore, I really wouldn't consider them veggie-friendly.

I believe that Wendy's uses the same oil to fry their fries as well as their chicken nuggets. Therefore, I wouldn't consider those to be veggie-friendly, either.

I have also seen that McDonald's uses "essence of beef" in their fries to make them taste better to the average consumer. I would avoid those like the plague.

I know Chick-Fil-A uses 100% peanut oil, and they have a separate frying system for their waffle fries. Those are the only ones that are totally veggie friendly, in my opinion.

I'm not sure about other fast food chains, so I avoid their fries.

Good luck! :)

Nope! Fried food isn't healthy at all, one of my cousin avoids fried food and she's a vegetarian. And cow grease? Vegetarians avoid animal products. If you need some vegetarian recipes and advice I could ask my cousin. You've got to ask - McDonald's fries are coated with a beef broth or seasoning.

no, they are not safe. they can be cooked in pig's oil. also, if you are a vegetarian you want to stay away from fast food places... you should not support their business.

In addition to the previous answers, I guess you have to think what else is cooked in the same oil. If fish is deep fried too then the chips would not be vegetarian.
Makes life tough I know..

Cow grease isn't as good for cooking as vegetable oil or peanut oil but of course we all know what fast food resturants do to save money. If you're vegetarian (you eat dairy and/or eggs) you're fine but if you are vegan then check out the website of whatever resturant your going for reference. I bet a million dollars the people that works at the fast food joint have no clue what the heck is in the oil or food for that matter.
