Answers:
The small fish JJD referred to is isingglass. It is a product used to refine beers and wine that comes from fish gall bladders. Nasty, I know! If you're english Co-op beers and wines say whether they are. Or look for a list on a veggie organisation webpage - there are loads. Some manufactures will tell you, others will only give you ingredients lists.
Again this is english but Tescos (a supermarket) will giv you a booklet of all the vegan stuff in the shop. Ask at customer services or ring head office! Safeways also mark their own brand stuff thats vegan.
Other Answers:
Depends if you are a vegan or a veggie. If you are a veggie, then all are suitable for consumption. If you are a vegan, I think that you are out of luck.
There are no animal products in them, if thats what you mean. Just water, yeast, malt, and barley.
not all as some use meat in the fermentation process to add body but as this can be expensive a lot are moving into using chemical emulsifiers so check out with the manufactures web site it should tell you that it is vagan freindly.
Beer and ales are brewed from hops, which is a grain. If you can eat grains, then sure, why not?
I can’t think why they wouldn’t be. They only contain water, hops and wheat or barley etc. I once worked in a pub that served a nut beer, apparently back in the 1800's the brewers pet monkey drowned in the brewery, I guess that stuff wouldn’t be suitable for vegetarian consumption.
Once upon a time in England, the rich ate meat. Only meat, yet found themselves lacking in a lot of nutrients. At that time, only monks made beer and when the rich ate their meat and drank their beer they became very healthy. Reason being that the beer contained nutrients they lacked. Of course, this is a very simplified version of history, but I would think that ales and beers are suitable for anyone that does not have a balanced diet.
not all, but some are.
I found a useful list.
and also the vegetarian society has a list... but I think whoever Geraint Bevan is - he's done a lot more research
Cheers!

someone once told me that some brewers use a type of small fish in the brewing process - something to do with the clarity!!
I don't see why not, they are made from hops and barley and yeast.
Not all beers are veggie/vegan friendly!
You need to check out the ingredients first
Yes.
Check the label. Then go around your local brewery to see how it is made. Most do guided tours. If the workers regularly fall in the vat and drown then it is not suitable.
