This is an organic farm on the east coast but they do deliveries any where across Scotland at a reasonable price. I reckon they have artichokes but the rest of their stuff is really good too so worth a look.
Other Answers:
Depends whether it's for a motorbike or a car. I live in Coatbridge (it was either that or the prison ship) and we have a lot of vegetables here. Asda used to be good until the manager here got the sack for hanging mince up on a hook but there is a Nightclub in Royal Exchange Square which specialises in exotic fruits. But the best bet is to hing one's napper out the window at three in the morning and shout "Artichoke" in a loud voice. It worked for me and I'm a meatatarian.
Anyway you don't need artichokes when you have an Elephant, Oranges, Grapes and a barrel.

What sort of artichokes do you mean?
The globe sort (a type of thistle, appropriate for Scotland?) should be available at this time of the year from greengrocers, and supermarkets.
They also come in tins, ready prepared - much less trouble.
The Jerusalem artichoke (a type of sunflower) tends only to be in season during the winter months, but again is usually available from greengrocers and supermarkets.
Both these grow really well in Scotland, so why not have a go - if you haven't got a garden get an allotment.
But beware - they are invasive, and once you have them you will NEVER get rid of them, and be really sorry you asked the question.
