a while back i was drinking alot and my fiance was getting worried so i cut back significantly i just limited myself to how much i can drink in a day. before i would drink a 12pack or a fifth easily in a couple of hours but now i wont drink more than four beers or four shots in a day. it seems to be working alright, but i still want more when i have met my personal limit. i just think about her and it helps. good luck with quiting

i used to drink a lot, i do smoke a lot, and I'm married and have a wonderfull kid. to make it easier to control i just have 1 week without alcohol from time to time. if I can do it it means it's not too late. If one day I won't be able to keep it for a week, well... I have a deal with myself, and I will look for a help from therapyst straight away. selfmotivation is a thing, and keep it under control. don't let it control you. yes i tried for a certain someone for 2months but then we got into a argument and I just continued to drink again.Sucks!
No, I've never had a problem with alcohol, but I have seen the affects of it on other people, that's why I don't drink very much, I've only once got so drunk I really didn't know what I was doing, in the morning I was so sick and dehydrated and I felt awful, I vowed that day that I'd never get that drunk ever again! And I have kept my vow. :)
