He has to have a beer every day! It is getting to the point that it is interfearing with bills! he slowed down 4 awhile until we moved back to Michigan now it getting bad again!!!!!!!!

whats wrong with one beer a day ? after a long day at work its good to sit down have a cold one, and not have to listen to talking or be asked questions for a while. :)
You can't make him SEE anything or Do anything. You need to ask him to take babysteps in cutting down his drinking. No beer for a week to start. Personally, I see nothing wrong in a beer a day, this is from a 3-double rum & coke a day person. I quit the rum & coke for the month of March, have not been true, had 3 drinks on 3 separate days, but I don't miss them! This is how to cut down on bad habits.
I wouldn't see one beer a day as a problem, unless it's just not something you can afford. Most people could.
If it is a problem, people will sometimes arrange an "intervention" where all his friends and family get together and tell him all the ways it's messing up their lives and his. I think AA would have info on this.
But in the end it's gotta be his decision, or you might as well lock him up.
drinking can get out of control. Usually when someone is drinking it is an addiction to cover some type of pain in there life.
Speak to him about learning self control. Tell him you only have so much to spend on beer and if he could not spend more then that.
Give him an alcoholic pamphlet and the the number to AA or leave him!! Its not worth staying w a drunk-believe me I did it for yrs and it got me no where but hell.
Point him in the direction of the mirror, and show him his beer belly.
I wish I knew. It has been 5 days since I left the love of my life. He would spend 4/7 days in the bar without me and expect me to spend the weekend there with him. It is all about choices and I made a choice to start a life without him. Life has to much to offer why spend it drunk or drinking.Good luck to you find a support system for you.
sorry you can't , i'm a recovering alcoholic and theres nothing you can do he has to want to stop . my advice is if you can't live with that knowlege then leave . I know you love him but you cant love someone enough to make them quit it just doesnt work that way . wish you the best

Tell him the smell of beer is off putting and you're not gonig to give him any lovin if there's a hint of beer in his breath. --And if you can glam yourself up a bit to the point when he wants your lovin', it'll give him more of a reason to not drink (also you'll gain more power over him!) -- After all, love and flirting is free and booze is not. (That shouldn't really increase your expenses)
There isn't a problem with one beer a day. However, it seems that the problem is that he usually has more than one to the extent that it is causing financial problems. I would speak to an alcohol and drugs counsellor in local area to see what they can advise. Your husband sounds as if he needs help.
