Answers:
If you are talking as a consumer about wine that you have bought, then the best thing to do is to return the bottle to the supplier.

You can expect an average of 5% of wines closed with natural cork to be affected by TCA to some degree, although people have vastly different perception of TCA.

You can reduce the effect of 2,4,6-Trichloroanisole (TCA) in wine by suspending polythene plastic in it for 24 hours. Suitable brands are Tesco sandwich bags (in UK) and Saran Wrap (USA). Copolymers in the plastic absorbs the TCA.

Although this reduces TCA to an acceptable level, the remaining wine is stripped of its flavours and is nowhere as good as a bottle of the same wine that has not been affecetd by TCA.

A British wine expert named Nick Alabaster has been experimenting with this technique over the past 5 years, and his reports have encouraged others across the world to repeat the experiments with different rates of success.

American wine writer Robin Garr recently tried the experiment and wrote about it in his weekly newsletter, link below.

And a French biochemist released a kit commercially called Dream Taste last year that uses the same technique - see Decanter news report.

If you are in a winery, TCA can affect wood and other items as well as corks, and there are cleaning techniques and testing methods available in the industry.

Thats is impossible. Otherwise, the close friend of wine is coffee. Please dont try it at home but in your bedroom.
