I don't think it really helps anything but I've never seen it done. I have a few more to try this with, as the method where you plug the top, invert the bottle and turn it back right side up isnt working for me. Is there a trick to this?

I have NEVER seen this before. When I put in the lime, I do put my finger in the mouth of the bottle and tip it upside down, but that's to mix the lime juice with the rest of the beer, not to make it stick to the bottom.
Do not drink Beer from a Bottle - it must be aerated into a chilled glass - only Rednecks drink Beer from a Bottle. I just pushed the piece thru put my finger in the bottle and turned upside down and wala . but stiking to bottom works best when empty of course. ah
you've got it right if you're turning the bottle over - just make sure first that the lime is stuffed all the way down the neck so it can float loose
use your thumb to plug the bottle, invert slowly - the lime will float up to the bottom
slowly again turn bottle back over and slowly remove thumb (will hiss as pressure escapes)
yes, the lime will by now have floated back up to the neck of the bottle, but that's just where you want it (beer will flow past and around it as you drink)
