The word cosmopolitan describes an environment where many cultures from around the world coexist; or a person whose intellectual baggage comes from many different cultures. It may also have the weaker senses of "worldly" or "sophisticated".
this is my all time favorite drink!!!!!
1 oz vodka
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz Rose's? lime juice
1/2 oz cranberry juice
Shake vodka, triple sec, lime and cranberry juice vigorously in a shaker with ice. Strain into a martini glass, garnish with a lime wedge on the rim, and serve.
Serve in:
Cocktail Glass

Instead of Tripleset use Cointreu, which a orange liquer.
1 shot Good Vodka, Grey Goose or Belvedere or even something better
1 shot Cointreu (orange liquer)
11/2 shot cranberry.
Chill/shake and pour straight up with cherries and lime.
The recipe never really changes...but to make it better, make sure you use quality ingredients. Use good vodka...not $7 Fleischmann's or Gordon's some crap like that.
I really enjoy changing it to suit my own palate.I use Raspberry vodka instead. Also, I'm not a huge Cranberry fan, but I LOVE Ocean Spray Premium Pacific Raspberry and Cranberry blend juice...so I use a really great juice.
SEriously.better ingredients make a better drink.
A crappy cranberry will make a cranky conoissieur!!!

3.0 oz Cranberry juice
0.5 oz Lemon juice
1.0 slice Lime
2.0 oz Vodka
Directions: Stir or shake with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a slice of lemon.
