Kitty said: Yes.If Hawaii has so much sugarcane, how come they don't have a rum factory (sin-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(If Hawaii has so much sugarcane, how come they don't have a rum factory (sin),it will help you,my kids.
Answers:
most rum is industrial meaning its made from molasses that could be imported from any cane producing area, agricole rum is made straight from cane juice. why hawaii has no distillery
I 'm not sure, but I'd be willing to bet you've had rum from hawiian molasses shipped somewhere else
Other Answers:
Hawai'i has stopped all production of Sugar Cane. They also have stopped production of Pineapples. Hawai'i main source of profit now is Tourism. If there are sugar cane grown in Hawai'i is only for private use.

Wait.how do you KNOW they don't? Maybe they just keep it a secret? Shhhhhhhhh tru tru
It could be due to the fact that Hawaii has some of the highest real estate costs and the highest cost of living in America.
Other sugar growing states, such as Florida, offer a much cheaper alternative to a company that would be looking to maximize profits.
Also, I'm sure that migrant workers have something to do with the way that sugar cane is harvested and rum is made. My point is that not many migrant workers can afford to make it to Hawaii, let alone live there.
