6 oz. water
3 oz. Jello gelatin, any flavor
Think jiggly or slushy or syrupy. Imagine the slide of a semi-solid down your throat. Combine vodka and water in a saucepan and bring to boil. Stir in Jello. Let set in refrigerator. Experiment to choose the length of time you want it to set. Longer = firmer.
Jello shots are simple to make and do their job exceptionally well. The only other trick to them is using different alcohols and Jello flavors to create new tastes.
I like cherry or lime with vodka....
1 package flavored jell-o
1 cup boiling water
1 cup liquor
Mix hot water and jello. Add liquor. Pour into 2 ounce cups. Serve after the jello has set.

Boil one cup of water, dissolve the jello into it. Add half cup rum and half cup vodka. Store in fridge for five hours and go.
Ive made these lots of times and there are some tricks only an experienced person could figure out this is what you do.
Okay when you make the jello, make sure that you use half the water ingredients. if the package says 4 cups of water, and one package of jello, use 2 cups, but make sure you use 2 and 1/8 cups the 1/8 will turn to steam in the boiling process.
when its ready add the jello, and then add the other half of VODKA (keep the vodka in the freezer so its nice and chilled)... (sometimes buying a vodka that is the same flavor helps, like absolute strawberry to compliment strawberry jello.. however this is optional).
Dont go more then half and half on the vodka/water mix. When you drink the shots you want to get wasted, but not taste the strong vodka taste.
The cups you need are the dixie ones, they are about big enough to hold a golf ball. Use the paper ones, becasue people will need to crush them to get all the jello out. Dont use plastic ones they snap and make shards.
Put them in the fridge and wait 2-4 hours. For a party with 40 guests I would cook up about 10 batches of jello. People will drink a lot, making different flavors is also a plus
When you get it down you can calculate how to cook up multiple batches.
Here is a hint, to save money buy the cheap vodka like smirinoff, or even the stuff in a plastic bottle. you wont be able to taste the difference, just you will get a headache. Make the ones for YOUR consumption out of higher quality, like absolute, this way your headache wont be so bad.
You can save money buy buying everclear, and mixing it with 3 cups of water for every 1 cup of everclear. a 3 parts water to 1 part everclear. Its 95% or 190 proof so it will do the damage.

for jello shots you make them the same way as you would if you are makeing jello but only use half the alcohol as you would cold water and than it depends on the flavour of jello you are useing try vodka for most of them
