The best "real" absinthe comes from the Czech Republic...

"Q. What is the exact thujone level of your absinthe?

A. Measuring the exact levels of thujone is an incredibly expensive process. So much so, that it is done only once for each brand. It is done when they get the process certified by the government. For Fruko Schulz, for example, it was over 100 years ago. If they continue to use the same process, they can continue to make absinthe. But it is never tested again unless there is some dispute. Thujone tends to group together. This causes some bottles to have more than others. Each batch can even have quite different amounts, because it comes from Wormwood, and each
plant has different amounts inside. My sources at the company tell me that 1792 is between 35mg and 120mg.
But they don't know for sure. Nobody knows for sure.

Q. Is your absinthe "real" absinthe?

A. The Absinthe we sell is not only genuine absinthe, but the best of all the genuine absinthe available. Whenever we come across a new one, we test it. If it meets our standards, we offer it on our site. In fact, we have just secured a great new absinthe for exclusive sale on our site. Find that on our catalog page. The Fruko Schulz company that makes 3 of the absinthes that we sell, has been around for over 100 years."

I don't know what's that... but if you bought it in a stablished store (not in the flea market or on the street), it should be real.

I'm Mexican
It's probably real, but don't get excited about the thujon content. More than likely it's not more that 5 parts per million.
thujone content is over rated .how does it taste and what's the alcohol content.maxthealchemist.com
