can i have a social drink with my friend and girlfriend with out becoming a acholic can you give me advice please
Answer:
Just don't drink a whole lot. Drink maybe a couple of alcoholic beverages. You should be fine. It's mainly just controlling yourself.
Having a social drink doesn't necessarily make you an alcoholic. If it becomes a frequent thing and you tend to have several drinks while you are out, you may want to consider slowing down. However, if you go out every once-in-a-while with a friend or a girlfriend and monitor how much you drink, you wouldn't be an alcoholic.
alcoholism is a disease, you can have one drink and be hooked, or, like me, one, two or 12 and not become an alcoholic. they say it is genetic, and it is because the brain doesn't process the alcohol the same way as a non alcoholic..so, you wont know until you try it, or, does anyone in your family have a problem? good luck
A social drink won't cause a problem. A few drinks here and there with friends is perfectly normal. I would give the advise to go easy and stick with a drink an hour. You don't want to over do your first time. If you have alcoholics in your family I would take caution in drinking. Drink only if your 21 and over, its not worth the risk! (only trying to do the right thing by saying that!)
An alcoholic drinks until they are wasted, they drink multiple times a week and their hangovers interfer with their work.
Drinking socially is just fine. Don't worry, you can definately have drinks with your friends and girlfriend without becoming an alcoholic.
Social drinking is generally one drink at a meal or gathering. If you stick to this NO you will NOT become an alcoholic UNLESS you go to MANY gatherings and drink ONE at each then you MIGHT develop a problem.
yeah alcohol is not like crack or meth so im sure you will be fine
Alcoholism is serious, you can become with a licour bonbom...If you are worried, don′t drink...there are billions of non alcoholic options.
Try something like a wine cooler, Mike's hard lemonade......they are rather light drinks, or a glass of wine. Try a beer, and when your an expert.......move to the "liquor". But, I don't mean in the same night......
As long as you maintain control of yourself, having a drink with your friends every once in a while isn't a problem. I may go out to drink once or twice a week/two weeks. I drink in moderation; a couple of beers with an appetizer, or a glass of wine with dinner, or a couple of martinis with friends. Keep in mind that I just described three separate occasions, this wasn't on one night.
