I recently found a recipe for Olive Garden's Berry Sangria. It calls for Soleo Red Table Wine. I'm having some trouble finding this. Is Soleo the brand name?

Answer:
Man, I haven't seen a soleo label in years...as somebody mentioned, was a sutter home label from maybe 7 years ago. I used to print their labels here in Napa.

I would actually try using a pinot grigio if you want white sangria with peaches and stuff in it But a nice merlot or zinfandel for the red sangria. Usually sangria has berries and fruit juice so you would probably not want to bother with things like Cabernet which would just completely overpower the sangria. A nice fruity red would be great.

Personally for Sangria I don't spend over $10 for a bottle. You are just adding fruit and juice to it, so it doesn't matter.
Soleo is a brand of red and white table wines produced by Sutter Home Vineyards.
Sutter Home used to make Soleo red table wine back in the late 1980's but I think they discontinued it....and frankly it did not get very good reviews.

You might want to try using one bottle of cabernet sauvignon and one bottle of merlot - a blend of the two - and go for a moderate price from a decent vintner...say $9 a bottle.
