customer service jobs but what other types of jobs help
Answer:
Aside from customer service, I would try to have the following experience:
-restaurant, so that you understand how a restaurant works
-liquor store, even if its stocking. The more knowledge you can have coming into the situation, the better.
-cash-handling, especially since you will be responsible for a cash drawer and tips.
Working ina liquor store as a clerk might be the best for you. You can become familiar with the products, get cash handling experience and more customer service experience.
Hope this helps!
Bar job, previous employment?
Yeah customer service, but a bar job is one of those thing you have on your cv to get other jobs. you don't really need any qualifications for being bar staff or experience, other than being friendly to people and being able to keep calm when the **** hits the fan!
Military experience is a good thing to have. On a resume, other areas of bartending are good to list. Service bartending in restaurant, theme parks, private clubs (if you're lucky enough to get work there) and banquet halls. Basically, it doesn't matter if you have years of experience in a calm little watering hole with three regulars. Employers want to see you can handle mass numbers at the same time. Lots of people think it's not necessary in bartending, but when looking for a job, write up a nice, detailed cover letter not stating your qualifications as a bartender but your past accomplishments leading up to and contributing to bartending. As I said earlier, military experience is golden in the team work, leadership and organizations skills department, what you've done in other places, and what you want to achieve.
Getting into the bartending business with dry feet is not easy. Unless your a 20 year old blond beautiful woman, only the determined get a full time job serving drinks. It takes work but it's worth it.
