Avacodos, portabella mushrooms, red bell pepper, or cherry tomatoes. I am throwing a book party tomorrow and need some advice on what to serve with my veggie tray...

Answers:
New Zealand makes wonderful Savignon Blancs.
Light n fresh, good fruit, balanced and you can't beat those new screw off caps. I love em.

Other Answers:
I, personally, would serve a Gewurztraminer. It is a light, crisp white and it goes well with alot of different foods, but especially those with subtle flavor.

A Pinot Gris (there's a lot of good ones coming out of Oregon these days) would pair well with fresh veggies and not overpower them. Most are pretty dry, so they would counter the sweetness of the peppers and avocados. Buy the most recent vintage you can find. a red wine, i like casillero del diablo w avocados and mushrooms !!!

I think a Riesling would work nicely with the veggie tray because it has a hint of sweetness but is crisp and refreshing.

Red wine.
