Answer:
It makes you FEEL warmer by making the blood rush to the surface of your skin. Unfortunately, this also cools off your core body temperature. So if you are really experiencing hypothermia, drinking alcohol could kill you. It's a myth that people drink rum to keep warm.
I have no clue!
hard liqueur in general warms you up. Not just rum, but rum (and tequila) probably work the best.
The reason that you get a 'warm' feeling after drinking alcohol is that it causes blood vessels and pores in the skin to dilate, allowing more heat to leave the body and making the skin feel warmer as the warmth passes through it. The stronger the alcohol, the faster you will feel the effects.

For this reason, drinking alcohol to warm up is counter-pruductive as it will make you lose body heat and is dangerous in very cold conditions or if threatened with hypothermia.
alcohol
Alcohol dilates the blood vessels. Blood then rushes to your extremities along with the heat from the core of your body. This makes you feel "warm". It actually doesn't make your body warm but will make it cool quicker.

The same effect is why its prevents heart attacks and strokes.
A man you love so much
I have no clue but your icon is making my body warm right now! XD
