My parents allowed me to have sips here and there, wine probably being the first. Now I'm 24 and to this day I still think wine is sour and gross! I don't really even like beer, either. It is very bitter. I think that kids get so curious about the drink because it almost becomes like a cult, shrouded in mystery to the point where people want to explore it. Alcohol is nothing special at all. Caffeine is far more potent, IMO. Sip of cognac: my parents lied to me that it was some kind of juice (in Russian reataurant over the Black Sea). Will never forget the burning.
