I need a good wine that fits perfectly with Sangria ingridients...anyone have something in mind ? thank you
Answer:
Any Red from Chile. Otherwise, any cheap Chianti or Merlot.
I'm a bit confused by your question, because Sangria is a wine. I guess you're asking what other wine would compliment it, and I would have to say stick with Sangria.
For red sangria, a hearty, bold zin is probably your best bet. The flavors of the wine need to be able to stand up to the sweetness on the fruit and juice additives. Zinfandel is the boldest of the reds.
For white sangria, smack yourself in the face and go make red because white sangria isn't what sangria was created for!
it can be with red or white but it should not be too dry
I always use a mix of cheap chardonnay and cheap merlot. Just buy the jug wine... that way you can afford a ton and end up spending as much on the fruit as you do the wine. Sangria... yummy!
Sangria is a spanish wine that is very light and fruity. In spain they drink with dinner..like we drink red table wine.Except Sangria can be used with fish and pork because it is so citrus in nature. There is wine that has Sangria in it.Arbor Mist White Zinfindel Sangria. Two good wines together!
My neighbor makes a great sangria. ..Pretty sure she uses Merlot.
To make Sangria, any decent (I usually spend around $10 - $12) bottle of white or red. Red is more traditional, but I have made some nice sangria with whites. Personally, I use Merlot, or Rioja for red, and for a white I use Pinot Grigio. If you use Chardonnay, stay away from an Oakey one.
I don't even know if they make it anymore - Spinada
good luck & bless
any cheap red wine is good for sangria since you are adding to it you dont want it to be too sweet to start.
