We here in England have what we call "Mild ale", its a dark smooth ale, i love it, and living in the midlands, we have an ale named "Bank's mild ale", its absolutely, lip smacking good. irish red all the way
bud is for teens who cant get any better (well at least that why i drank it back then)

Anybody that actually enjoys the taste of real beer. Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite is for people that don't really like the taste but still want to drink. A good dark beer has a lot of flavor, but so do a lot of lagers and pilsners such as Pilsner Urquell or many German beers. Drinking Bud and say you are drinking beer is like drinking a wine cooler and say you are drinking wine. I love the smell of dark beer.

I never liked beer until I was stationed in Germany and discovered what real beer should taste like. I really like a good German style Bock or Alt beer. And of course once you've had a good beer of any style, Bud pretty much sucks.

Bud isn't necessarily for college kids. College kids drink Busch, High Life, or Natty Ice. Bud is for idiots who think they are drinking a quality beer. For the price of a 12er of Bud, I can buy a 12er of JW Dundee's, Michelob, or Sam Adams. The only reason I ever ever drink Bud light is so that I dont get too drunk. As far as dark beers goes, I love them. Try these beers if you haven't already.
