Can't find someone to give me info on a rare wine: NOZZOLE Chianti Classico Riserva (Greve) Vintage: 1974

I have a bottle, but i don't know what it's worth! I'm tempted to drink it!

Answers:
Chiantis that are cellerable are few and far between. I Also find it hard to believe that this one was stored in the right conditions for doing so. I'm familiar w/the nozzole line, but don't know about this vintage in particular. If you or anyone you know have a subscription to Wine Spectator (you can go to your local liquor store, if not) you'll have access to an on-line forum in which wine buyers and connosouirs from all over congregate to switch info on different wine. alot of them are quite knowledgeable. check w/them before you open something that may be of great profit to you!

Other Answers:
If you have been able to keep it in ideal conditions, it may still be good. If you haven't, more than likely, the cork will have gone and the bottle with it, or it will have turned to vinegar. Just because a wine has aged does not mean it has improved. This being said, if it has continued to improve, I imagine it would be wonderfully delicious. If not, well, at least you will have answered your own question.

As far as what is is worth? I imagine a grand at least. Maybe more. Just drink it!
