Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days, anyone help us?
Kitty said: Yes.how can I test alcohol% in alcohol? (no breath)?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(how can I test alcohol% in alcohol? (no breath)?),it will help you,my kids.
There is lots of breath analyzers but how do I actually really know (except for reading the label-if provided) how much alcohol % is really in alcohol.? Can or do alcohol makers actually cheat on us? How and where can I get or even make my own tester?Does anybody know?
Answers:
There is a product called a hydrometer. Your best bet to find one would be to look on homebrew webages. They're relatively cheap. There is a specific hydrometer called a "alcoholometer" (seriously). That's probably going to be the one you want.
Other Answers:
There are laboratories that can give you an alcohol % to the nearest 0.00 % on their gas chromatographs or other methods. I pay about $15 for each alcohol test done on my wines.
Simplest Way Is The Proof Factor, If It Is 80 Proof It Is 40% Alcohol
buy a hydrometer. The term proof comes from the way they tested alcohol in the olden days. pour alcohol on gunpowder (not alot, your not trying to blow your hands off) and if its 100 proof or more it will burn blue
actualy a hydrometer will not calculate alcohol percentages it measures the level of sugar in liquid what you need is an alcoholmeter look over at www.milehidistilling.com you can get one for about $7.00
If there is no percentage then take the proof and half it. If you are going out to a bar, know what you are drinking, there is no point in buying things you do not know what it is.
