i think it should be first mentioned that if one's only desire to drink is to get buzzed or drunk, beer and liquor promote very different buzzes. beer is great for sporting events and eating trashy food. it is really dependent upon activity and location. liquor, however, is associated more with social events; such as parties and bar hopping. women feel more sexy when sipping a sleek cocktail versus guzzling a beer.

i would not say that women in general like liquor better. but i am willing to state that men may see women drink liquor more often since it looks more sophisticated.

women drink liquor when around other women because they are usually doing a "girls night out" at a local bar or eatery. most people are not proficient enough to make a proper cocktail at home. hence, it is a treat to have a cocktail among friends while out. beers are readily available any time out of your fridge. if women were hanging out at a sports bar, they most likely would be having a beer since that is what is promoted there. but otherwise, it goes to the cocktails.

Beer means ingesting gas which = farts and hopsy breath. Liquor comes in many flavors like chocolate and such. (there is an exception for lindemans frabriose and champagne.)

I don't really like beer that much but occasionally I will have a HoeGarten - it's white ale, a very pale beer from Belgium that's served with either lime or lemon. And it's really good.
