it is a very easy question for a yank but im just a simple Aussie we havent got as many beers as u guys but weve got better ones.

PS. GO THE MAROONS!!!!!!!!!!!

Answers:
A microbrewery brews less than 15,000 barrels per year. A regional brewery is the next step up and stops at one million barrels. Breweries like Sam Adams are contract brewers - they don't have a brewery and have someone else brew it for them. Brewpubs have half or more of their beer consumed on premises.

Other Answers:
it is a beer brewed in a small local brewery like Bell's Oberon way better than your beers!

yummy it's a very small cup of tea

A beer or ale brewed in a microbrewery, which is a small brewery, generally producing fewer than 10,000 barrels of beer and ale a year and frequently selling its products on the premises. Also called boutique brewery , brewpub.

Beer breewed at a small brewery for a local area. Some have won world competitions.

aussie beer is crap, every small brewery gets bought out by Tooheys or Carlton. There are a few on the West Coast, tryign to think of the name, but can't.

Micro - means small.. so small batch brewery. They are big here in Nth America and the Americans can make beer you dont have to drink that Bud and Coors crap.

Keep on thing in mind though 'Coors Light' & 'Bud Light' are the 2 biggest selling beers in the states. ? not sure

Coming from BLUES country im used to Hahn / Tooheys / and Blue on tap, but over here it depends on what bar you go to for a good micro beer.

good luck with it,

It's larger than a nanobrew . . . no seriously, microbrews are like some already alluded to, small production breweries often with high quality flavors, some experimental with variety unlike the major breweries like Anheiser-busch. The majors use rice in a significant proportion. Old German laws would have prohibited rice. Maybe we should reinstate them. The flavors are often more heavily hopped in the microbrews and use more barley and higher quality barley.
