i know it's a yummy drink from Brazil

Answers:
lime, sugar, cachaca - see link for recipe

cachaca:
Cacha?a is a Brazilian liquor made from distilled sugar cane juice. While rum is distilled from molasses, cacha?a is distilled directly from the juice of the unrefined sugar cane. Prior to distillation the juice ferments in a wood or copper container for three weeks, and is then boiled down three times to a concentration. Cacha?a is always distilled in such a way that the scent of sugar cane and inimitable flavor typical of rum are retained.

Other Answers:
cachaca, lime and sugar
yeah it's a good one! my brazilian gals put a lemon(or lime), quartered, and 2 tblsp sugar together in the bottom of a cup and mash them until somewhat liquefied. the best part of course is the vodka and ice!! the measurements aren't exact of course but you get the idea--enjoy!
Caipirinha is a classical brazilian cocktail.

Cachaca
5-6 lime wedges
1tsp brown sugar (the cooking type used for baked products..not the more obvious one, the use of which will be a short cut to nirvana!!!)
lime juice and sugar syrup to balance the drink to your taste.
Crushed ice

Muddle the sugar and the lime and add the crushed ice. pour the cachaca and stir. sip thru a straw as the idea is to feel the sugar in your mouth when you drink it. moreover the ice will dilute the drink as it slowly melts.

Replace the cachaca with vodka and you have a Caipiroshka.

Muddle mint along with the lime and sugar and use bacardi and top with soda it becomes a. Mojito.

replace the bacardi with bourbon and you have a mint julep.

Cheers!!!
