Answers:
Grey Goose, Skyy, Ketel One, Stoli and Tanqueray are all popular right now. But, I recently read that in a blind taste test, Smirnoff won. If you trust that, it will be easiest on your pocketbook.

Other Answers:
Smirnov, of course. Those Russians know thier vodka.
Effen is awesome. Grey Goose, Stoli

Absolut
Buy the cheapest vodka you can buy. It's all made the same with the exception of the filtration process. That, coupled with import taxes and transportation charges effect the store shelf prices the most. If you can really tell the taste difference...you are probably dying of liver disease.

Ketel One if you are mixing with soda, tonic, or in a martini...if you are mixing with any kind of juice, get the cheapest avaialble because it won't matter.
I would say it really depends on what you are using it for, if it is a regular mixed drink, I would say go with the cheeper stuff. If it is a Martini you will be able to tell the difference so go with somthing like absolut, grey goose, stoli. If you really want top quality the best vodka's are potato vodka's belvedere is a good example but you pay the price so unless you are big into your martinis or drinking it alone I don't see the point in paying that much.
