Answers:
A good port is the best wine you can have after dinner and with desert. I prefer a ruby port because it has a nice sweet taste that goes well with most deserts. Also reislings and gerverstrumeiners are moth sweet wines however, they are absolutely not desert wines. The most important thing is to drink what you like but if you care about diner etiquete those two should be wines that are drank with a first course not the last and neither go well with chocolate.

Other Answers:
I like Mondavi Moscato d'Oro. Light, sweet, great with strawberries

I have gone on several wine tours and I am familiar with a wide range of wines. Rieslings are a mild dessert wine that still retain just a touch of typical wine dryness with a lot of sweet undertones. Vidals are even sweeter (Canada produces some great Vidals). Finally your sweetest wines are probably ice wines and are usually expensive but if you go to some chain stores (like World Market) and hit the international section you can find some that don't hurt your pocketbook quite as hard. Ice wines compact tens of pounds of grapes into 350 ml bottles for some serious flavor. Good ice wines are a rich gold color rather than a champagne colored white. Good luck.
Aphrodite Late Harvest Gewurtztraminer. You can't go wrong with any 'Ice Wine'.

MUSCAT or ANY PORT WINE would be good.
As mentioned above, Moscato d'Asti is delicious. It is an Italian dessert wine with bubbles. Serve it in a Champagne flute. Moscato is the name of the grape and Asti is the name of the town that it comes from (Northern Italy, Piedmont region). The newer the vintage the better. Saracco is a brand that I have tried and liked.
