A jug of wine, not a bottle
You'll find that one bottle of wine isn't enough to help you sleep in the cold when you have to sleep right on the ground. Plus whatever you fix you find a cheap jug to chase it down. Let's face it very few of us can make a gourmet meal on a camping trip so don't try and pair it with a Bordeaux or some fancy Tuscan old vine wine, etc. Just heat up the beanie weenies and that one fish you caught then chase it down with chablis. It'll help you sleep and it's easier to pack (and carry for that matter) than a case of beer.
