Answers:
cause they like them

Other Answers:
Different preferences from different personalities. Many like soft drinks because of the flavor, carbonation, & caffeine. Others enjoy alcohol because of the flavor & how it changes their moods (it's actually a depressant, but sometimes it loosens people's inhibitions for awhile first). I personally enjoy soft drinks & steer clear from alcohol.

Savvy marketing what can we only like one or the other, am i in trouble because i mix them

About the soft drinks:
People drink soft drinks just for the taste.

About the alcoholic drinks:
Alcholic drinks contain some kind of drugs which attack on certain parts of your brains. Whenever you drink wine or some kind of alcoholic drinks it control those areas of brain. And it makes you feel relax.

Alcohol also makes the skin feel warm. That's why peoples live in cold areas always drink. For soft drinks: Because they don't have a great enough appreciation of their bodies.
For alcoholic drinks: If it is for the so called "social drinking" it's very good. It relaxes u (as the dude above said) and makes u more social. If it's excessive then it's bad. Destroys ur liver. Anything excessive is bad.

Softdrinks go well with alcoholic drinks! Pop is a great chaser for alcohols such as vodka and a pretty good partner with wiskey, rum, or whatever alcohol you enjoy!
