You have to get pretty drunk for pretty long to have that happen, unless you already have serious memory problems.
Alcohol messes with the nervouse system. After you get too drunk, your body starts shutting itself down as a precaution. Eventually, you will pass out. This is how your body helps prevent alcohol posioning, even though sometimes people drink too much too fast for your body to keep up and they get poisoning anyway.

That is a myth based on truth. Very occasionally a drunk person will have a "blackout" in which they only remember bits and pieces of the night before. However if they can recall some or most of the night, filling in the blanks is never hard.

Your brain cells are burnt out. Besides, maybe you woke up in the morning, with someone you'd be embarrassed to be seen with.
