I don't drink that much, 5 or 6 on the week end, and a glass of wine with dinner. I am wondering if that is enough to make it hard to lose weight.

Answers:
It depends on the what you drink. If you're drinking "good beer", then you will (the beer I drink is about 300-400 calories per 16oz). Even wine has unfermented sugars left. So it's not just the 7 calories per ounce (which isn't enough to notice), it's the calories that go with it. So if you are drinking 1 rum & diet coke per day, that's at the noise level.

But giving up that drink (if it's beer or wine) could have adverse reactions (losing antioxidants, protiens, vitamins, etc). So have a glass a day, take an extra walk around the block and don't worry about it.

Other Answers:
Yes it is. Alcohol has 7 calories per gram, so it's very fattening.

yes yes u will

Yes! Drinking alcohol is like eating bread! Bread is very fatty.

yes, you may lose weight. beers especially encourage a "beer belly"

Alcohol induces hunger and cause temporary emptiness in stomach. With the result we are eating more and more. If all he food is digested it adds up to calories. It is also induces other organs to work more. This will work against the aim to lose weight. We don't think so, because alcohol has not such significant effiect on increasing weight rather if you are alcholic you have great chance of lossing weight.

Alcohol has empty calories...Its like drinking pop.

I cut my alcohol usage and I did not loose any weight. My father on the other hand, quit drinking entirely and lost a lot of weight. One glass of wine does not seem like it should effect that much, especially if you replace it with anything beside water.

Yes!
